Shoe Co. was founded in 1957 in Dexter ME. The
company manufactured shoes in Maine until 2001
when all production was moved off-shore. The
company now markets bowling, golf and street
shoes.
Dexter entered the bowling market in 1958 and is
now the number one seller of bowling shoe
worldwide and it’s the footwear choice of over
65% of the Professional bowlers. The company
entered the youth-infant bowling market in 1983
and now supplies the youth and infant segment as
well as adult market.
